Kanun Tanah Negara 1965: A Brief Overview
The Kanun Tanah Negara 1965 (National Land Code 1965) is a Malaysian law that regulates land administration and land tenure in the country. It was enacted in 1965 as Act of Parliament No. 56 of 1965 and came into force on 1 January 1966. It replaced the previous land laws of the Malay states, Penang and Malacca, which were based on the Torrens system of land registration.
